How to Earn, Spend, & Save on Mezo

Option 1: Just HODL (The Simplest Choice)

Your sats sit in your wallet under your complete control.

Option 2: Borrow Against Your Bitcoin

Access dollars without selling your BTC. Keep your Bitcoin exposure while getting liquidity.

How to Borrow:

  1. Go to mezo.org/borrow and connect your wallet

  2. Enter desired loan amount in MUSD

  3. Review your loan terms:

    • Interest rate (currently 1% fixed)
    • Collateralization ratio
    • Liquidation price
    • Fees: 0.5% issuance fee + $200 gas deposit (returned when closed)

  4. Click “Borrow” and confirm transaction

  5. MUSD appears in your wallet—your BTC is locked as collateral

What you can do with MUSD:

  • Spend it via Bitrefill in Mezo Market
  • Swap it for other assets
  • Use it in DeFi protocols

Managing Your Loan:

Monitor your collateral ratio at mezo.org/borrow. If BTC price drops, your ratio decreases—keep it above 110% to avoid liquidation. To close your loan, return to mezo.org/borrow, click “Repay,” repay the full MUSD amount plus accumulated interest, and confirm. Your BTC collateral and $200 gas deposit are returned.

Option 3: Spend Your sats

Use your Bitcoin to buy gift cards at hundreds of retailers, including Amazon, Airbnb, Uber, DoorDash, and Visa prepaid cards. Minimum purchase is $25 MUSD.

Step 1: Swap BTC to MUSD

  1. Go to mezo.org/swap

  2. Select BTC → MUSD and enter the amount

  3. Keep approximately $2 worth of BTC for gas fees

  4. Review the exchange rate and click “Swap”

  5. Confirm in your wallet

Step 2: Purchase Your Gift Card

  1. Go to mezo.org/market

  2. Click “Bitrefill Gift Cards”

  3. Choose amount (minimum $25)

  4. Click “Purchase” and confirm with MUSD

  5. Receive your voucher code

Step 3: Redeem Your Gift Card

  1. Copy your voucher code

  2. Go to Bitrefill.com and find your desired gift card

  3. At checkout, select “Pay with voucher code”

  4. Paste your code and complete purchase

Option 4: Earn with MUSD Vaults

Deposit your MUSD to earn yield. This is the easiest way to make your stablecoin productive while keeping your funds accessible.

How to do it:

  1. Go to mezo.org/vaults and browse available MUSD vaults

  2. Review each vault’s:

    • Lock period (if any)
    • Reward rate
    • Capacity

  3. Click on the vault you want

  4. Click “Deposit” and enter the amount of MUSD

  5. Confirm the transaction

  6. You’re now earning automatically
